Please be sure to indicate if transportation is needed and only sign up if you intent to use it
Once the bus routes are determined, bus routes will be posted to the student PowerSchool account under “Transportation”
Visit your PowerSchool account to retrieve your bus route.

Enrollment Information

Enrollment into Summer School requires two steps, registration and payment. Registration is not complete until full payment is received. Please see the steps below.

Registration

Registration closes at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

Payment

You can pay by mailing a check or money order, pay in person at the summer school office, or through EZPay in your PowerSchool account.

If paying via EZPay (in-district students only) you must have or create an EZPay account using your students 6-digit ID number. Please visit the WCSOH.ORG; At bottom of page under “Resources” click EZPay. Click on Student Fees to pay for Summer School.

Registration closes at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

Refund Policy

All cancellations must be received in writing/email to: bussardm@wcsoh.org
- Cancellation on or before Friday, June 6 - Full refund
- Cancellation on or after Monday, June 9 - No refund
If a student registers/pays for a summer class; later finds out they passed the class during the school year and does not need to take the summer class, a full refund will be given.

Course Information

Instructional Delivery

Apex Learning is used to provide the content for each of our summer school courses other than Physical Education and each course has a teacher to provide instruction, support, and guidance.
Each student has control of his/her pace of learning.
All tests and quizzes MUST be taken in the classroom with the teacher.

Course Selection

Students are permitted to register for 1 course only during Summer School.

This is a change from previous years as students were able to register for up to 1.0 credit.

Types of Courses

Credit Recovery Courses: (Current WCS Students only)
- These courses are available for current Westerville City School (WCS) students only. Students must have already received a failing grade for the course or wish to improve their grade which will be verified prior to enrollment.
  - Credit Recovery Registration Fees
    - .50 & .25 credit recovery course - $50
    - 1.0 credit recovery course - $100
Credit Advancement Courses
- These courses are available to both current WCS students and non WCS students. Students that have never taken the course will take the course for Credit Advancement and will incur a fee
  - Credit Advancement Registration Fees
    - .25 credit advancement course - $100 current WCS students/ $235 non WCS students
    - .50 credit advancement course - $100 current WCS students/ $235 non WCS students
    - 1.0 credit advancement course - $200 current WCS students/$470 non WCS students
- Financial Literacy will available at no cost for students in the cohorts of 2026 and 2027 in WCS

Ohio’s State Tests (OST)

End of Course exams are part of several courses offered in Summer School and are part of Ohio’s Graduation Requirements.
If a student is taking one of these courses for credit advancement, they are required to take the exam.
If a student is taking one of these courses for credit recovery and is in need of passing or obtaining the competency score (Algebra 1 and English 2) to meet the graduation requirements, they are required to take the exam.
Testing dates are June 26, 27, 30 and July 1, 2025, starting at 8:15 am.
