WCSD welcomes Minerva Park Middle School to the pack
About 1,000 students, staff and family members joined district, school and community leaders for the ribbon-cutting ceremony and school-wide picnic for Minerva Park Middle School, which opens this fall.
Interim Superintendent Mark Hershiser recognized representatives from Triad Architects and Pepper Construction for their work on the building, which will host more than 700 students this year. Government leaders also attended the festivities, including State Senator William Demora; State Rep. Mary Lightbody; Minerva Park Mayor Tiffany Southard and Councilmembers Mark Brugger, Jason Camara, and J.P. Martin; Blendon Township Trustee Cathy Shinaberry; Westerville Vice Mayor Kenneth Wright and Councilmember Megan Reamsnyder.
Following the ribbon-cutting, Minerva Park Principal Dr. Garrett Carter welcomed students and families for food, activities and self-guided tours to explore the building.
