Three WCSD students honored at Ohio State Fair Youth Arts Exhibition
Two Cherrington Elementary students and a freshman at Westerville South High School were among more than a dozen students across the state whose artwork was honored at the Ohio State Fair this summer. More than 200 entries were accepted from students across the state.
WSHS freshman Samantha Gilchrist received a 3rd Place Award of Excellence
& Juror's Choice for her piece, “Spiritus Vitae,” in the middle school category. Meanwhile, Cherrington fourth-grader Ella Thompson and third-grader Audrey Thompson received top statewide awards for their work in the elementary school category:

The Ohio State Fair Youth Arts Exhibition is an annual showcase of the artistic talent and creativity of Ohio's youth. The exhibition attracts artists ranging in age from 5- to 18-years-old and features a diverse array of art forms, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and mixed media.
