Heritage Middle School secretary is WESSA’s November Staff Member of the Month

Jody Hart, a secretary at Heritage Middle School, has been named the Westerville Educational Support Staff Association’s Staff Member of the Month for November.

WESSA President Sue Kaczor, Superintendent Dr. Joe Clark, Director of Human Resources Karli Collins, Principal Dr. Dru Tomlin and staff from Heritage surprised Hart with the announcement on Wednesday. Her nomination featured glowing praise from several staff members, including Tomlin:

“She is professional, courteous, kind, and absolutely dedicated to improving the lives of students and staff here at Heritage MS. She not only expertly manages all of the functions and jobs of the Principal’s Secretary role (including stepping up when people are out), but she also works to constantly improve her own knowledge and understanding by taking classes after hours. She has true empathy and understanding for our students because she has to do homework, as well. HMS is indebted to Mrs. Hart for all that she does every day. And I am personally grateful because she is someone I can count on to have a caring, listening ear.”
