Cherrington Elementary hosts first-ever popsicles with kindergarteners event

Cherrington Elementary staff welcomed incoming kindergarteners and their families for a Popsicles on the Playground event last month, where school staff could begin building relationships with some of the newest members to the school community.

While students could play with Play-Doh, chalk and markers at various stations, the event was focused on making new friends on the playground, Principal Andy Heck said. 

Cherrington staff and PTA made the event possible, Heck said, and they provided families with a summer work packet and school supplies.
