Bette Marschall Memorial Education Fund awards more than $1,000 in grants
Two Westerville City School District teachers have been awarded grants totaling $1,050 from The Bette Marschall Memorial Education Fund of The Columbus Foundation. The fund was established in honor of former Westerville teacher and principal Bette Marschall, who died in 2001.
The recipients include:
- Jody Christy, a science teacher at Westerville Central High School, who was awarded $280 to support a monthly after-school Culinary Club.
- Aislynn Valentine Schmidley, a science teacher at Westerville South High School, who was awarded $770 to cover costs for field trips to the Westerville Water Treatment Plant and The Ohio State University for her Advanced Placement Environmental Science students.
