Aultman, Valentine sworn in as members of Westerville Board of Education

Newly-elected board member Louise Valentine and re-elected board member Jennifer Aultman were sworn into office of the Westerville City Schools Board of Education at an organizational/regular meeting on Jan. 8.

Valentine, who serves as the board’s newest member, grew up in Northeast Ohio and has lived in Genoa Township for more than 10 years with her husband, Scott, and twin sons, Anthony and Nicholas, who attend Westerville City Schools.

She received her bachelor’s and a master’s degrees from Ohio State University in Consumer Sciences and spent more than 12 years in quality assurance and consumer testing roles at two different corporate headquarters for major retail brands in the area.

Valentine currently serves as executive director for LEAD Ohio, a Columbus-based nonprofit focused on designing and facilitating training programs and educational support for emerging progressive leaders around the state.

An advocate for public education, Valentine ran for State Senate and State House seats in 2018 and 2022, respectively, on platforms largely focused on issues related to education including full and fair state funding for schools.

Valentine is honored to have an opportunity to serve her community as a school board member.

Aultman is beginning her second four-year term on the Board. Brief biographies of all Board members are available online at
