Annual WCSD LEGO competition is March 2

Westerville students in grades K-8 are invited to participate in the Westerville City Schools’ 18th annual LEGO competition 10 a.m.-noon March 2 at Westerville North High School. The competition is open to elementary and middle school students from Westerville City Schools and St. Paul School. Entry fee is $10.

Competitors can build anything they want, as long as they design it themselves; No pre-packaged LEGO sets are permitted to be built. Students are competing for the following awards:

  • Jareth Greene Award — the Best in Show award sponsored by Walnut Springs Middle School PTSA in memory of a former student
  • Most Realistic “My Own Creation” (MOC)
  • Excellence in Parts Usage
  • Grade-level awards for Excellent Build and Excellent Creativity

Westerville North Academic Boosters (WNAB) sponsors the event, with proceeds supporting senior scholarships. Registration is due Feb. 25. Register here
