Helpful tips for parents of kindergarten students:
- Make sure your student is comfortable telling another adult their first and last name.
- As mentioned above it is VERY important that you are at your student stop in the MIDDAY to get them off of the bus. We require a parent or guardian at their bus stop so that we know they will get home safely. If you are not there we will have to bring your student back to their school for you to pick up.
- Give your students a piece of paper with their Name, Bus #, Stop Location, and your contact information on it. Tell them to keep it in their bag and give it to an adult if they are not sure what bus they should ride.
- When at the bus stop, have your student wait on their home side of the street. It is the drivers responsibility to cross them to board the bus when they arrive.
- If your student has a sibling with them on the bus ask the sibling to make sure they know where they are.
