Non-Public, Charter, Community and Private Schools

WCS is now accepting and processing non-public, private, and charter school transportation requests for the 2026-2027 school year. We’re pleased to announce that the entire registration process will continue to take place through a convenient online portal. 

In preparation for completing the online request please review the following information prior to accessing the registration portal.

Each submission will require certain documents to be scanned and uploaded to accompany the request.

ID: Parent/Guardian Photo ID like a driver's license or state issued ID Card

AND

Verification of Residence – Two (2) proofs of residency required           

Proof 1 - Provide one of the following:

  • Current Active** Rental/Lease Agreement with custodial parent's name listed on the lease (with the option to redact only the financial information);
    • ** If on month-to-month lease, please include the lease and current verification from the landlord, including the landlord's contact information, on business letterhead.
       
  • Current (dated within the past 30 daysMortgage Statement with custodial parent's name listed. If you have closed on a new home within the last 30 days, provide a copy of your settlement statement. You may redact only financial information.
     
  • Purchase/Contract Agreement to buy property (if you will close on the sale of the property within 90 days of enrollment). You may redact only financial information.

*OATH OF RESIDENCY: If the custodial parent is living with a friend or family member who owns a home within the Westerville School District attendance boundaries, that resident must also provide their photo ID and their two (2) required proofs of residency and complete the Oath of Residency form.

*If the custodial parent is living with a friend or family member who has a Lease, the custodial parent's name must be on the Lease as a tenant or occupant.
 

 Proof 2 - Provide one of the following:

  • Current (dated within the past 30 daysPublic Utility Bill, showing service address at a Westerville School District residence, and custodial parent/legal guardian's name (i.e., Gas, Water, Electric, Landline Phone, Cable, or Internet) [If you have recently moved and do not have  your first bill yet, please call your utility provider and ask them to fax a verification letter to 614-797-7701.].
     
  • Current (dated within the past 30 daysGovernment Mailing showing a Westerville School District address and custodial parent/legal guardian's name  (i.e., child support, government assistance).

PLEASE REMEMBER

  • It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian of private school students to initiate the process of requesting transportation services.
  • If you are re-applying for transportation service for the 2026–27 school year and your student received service last year, you may see your student's name in gray with the label Sealed. You will need to add a student and complete a new application for the 2026–27 school year for your student. Last year's sealed application cannot be edited or reused.

  • You will only be contacted if there is an issue with your submission.
  • The WCS Enrollment Center is the department that is responsible for the processing of the requests and document confirmation.
  • The Transportation Services team is the department that is responsible for scheduling route assignments.
  • Transportation schedules will be available for access one (1) week prior to the first day of school for your student(s).
