Middle and high school students interested in exploring math topics can participate in free, virtual workshops with the Ohio State University Department of Mathematics each month.

On Saturday, Dec. 10, students can join the department’s Buckeye Aha! Math Moments (BAMM) outreach group to learn more about Voronoi diagrams and their diverse applications. How does the taxi cab call center choose which station to send a taxi from? What area is controlled by each player on a soccer match? What is the closest campsite to your location on a hike? What do all these questions have in common?

The session runs from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Those interested can learn more or register here.
