Owen Curran, a senior at Westerville South High School, received the Youth Leadership Spirit Award by LifeCare Alliance, which provides essential services to thousands of senior citizens, as well as people with medical challenges or disabilities, throughout Central Ohio.

Curren was recognized for his volunteer work, which includes stacking pallets, bagging food and litter in LifeCare Alliance’s Senior PetCare room, and preparing fans for distribution as part of the agency’s 2020 Fan Campaign for greater Columbus residents needing relief from the summer heat.

“Owen Curran has been a phenomenal volunteer, dedicating countless hours of service,” according to an announcement from LifeCare Alliance. “We are proud to have Owen as a volunteer and we look forward to seeing how his servant leadership grows in the years to come.”
