Summer Intervention Registration -

------------------- Closed as of 4:30pm  --  Monday, June 1, 2020

Video Message to Parents about Summer Intervention (click here)

Recently, you received information on our district's summer program inviting your child to attend. While the program this year is online or "virtual," it is designed to engage your child daily, Monday through Friday, for the five-week period of June 22 through July 24 (no school July 3).

Teachers will be reaching out to registered parents prior to June 22 to establish a mutually agreeable schedule for all involved. Our virtual "class size" will be about 10 students per teacher in grades K-3; 12 students per teacher in grades 4-5; and 14 students per teacher in grades 6-8. Students will meet with their teacher virtually in whole group Google Meets sessions, small groups, and even individually if needed at predetermined times throughout the week.  Instruction will be delivered both through virtual meetings and a program called iReady.  Students will receive lessons, assignments, and feedback daily.

Our parent expectations are mainly technology, environment, and support.  All students will need to have computer and Internet access (Westerville City Schools can help with this if needed; please indicate this need on your registration).  Students will need to have an appropriate space to participate in their online virtual meetings with their teacher and class. Obviously, it is preferred that this spot in your home is quiet and free from distractions.  Finally, simply check in with your son or daughter regularly to make sure they are meeting with their teachers and completing their assignment.  Teachers will contact parents if either of these things does not occur. It is not the expectation that parents be the teacher; rather, teachers will be instructing.  It is the expectation that parents are as supportive as possible in the aforementioned ways.

We have also developed a short video providing more detailed information about our summer program. Feel free to click here to access this video.

Should you have questions regarding our K-3 program, please email Melissa Krempasky at For our grades 4-8 program, please contact Greg Mantenieks at

We look forward to supporting your child this summer! Dr. E.

June 22 - July 24, 2020 /  Registration information was mailed on Thursday, May 14, 2020, to WCS recommended students only.  If you have questions to see if your student has been recommended, please contact your child(s) School Teacher, Counselor, or Principal. A student must be recommended to complete the online registration.

This is a five-week on-line program.  Students will receive weekly virtual interaction and instruction from their assigned teacher, as well as have access to relevant online curriculum materials to meet their identified academic needs.

Registration is on-line (click above) or to the right under "Links" to get to the registration form.  If you are having trouble with this form, you can leave a voice message at 614-797-7753 with your student first and last name, parent name, parent phone number, and student ID number if you have it.

If using EZPay to pay summer intervention fees, create student account in EZPay.  Once in the EZPay system in the upper right corner look for the "Activity Fees" tab and click on that.  There, you will find several payment options/amount for summer intervention.  There is a $2.75 processing fee using EZPay.

Deadline to register is Monday, June 1, 2020, at 4:30pm.
