Westerville South High School senior Emerson Honea is one of five students across the state awarded a 2024 Gorsuch Scholarship for graduating seniors whose parent is an employee of a municipal electric system or American Municipal Power (AMP).
Lauren Orth, an athletic trainer at Westerville South High School, has been named the Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association’s Athletic Trainer of the Year. She will be honored at the association’s annual meeting in May.
Twenty-one members of Westerville South High School’s Troupe 513 were honored at the Ohio State Thespian Conference on March 22-24 at Sylvania Northview High School. Also, two members of Westerville Central High School’s Troupe 6750 performed in the All-Ohio show.
Westerville South High School students Joy Simei, Imani Akita and AJ Smith offered advice and shared what they wish they had known while in middle school about taking higher level classes to their younger peers at Blendon Middle School on Monday.
Westerville North High School senior Madelyn Bosler placed third in the 100 yard breaststroke and Westerville South High School freshman Andrew Keir placed eighth in the diving event after competing in the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s State Swimming and Diving Championship Meet on Feb. 20 to 24 at the C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton.
More than 60 Westerville South High School students were recognized as “Cats with Class,” a long-standing WSHS tradition that honors students who demonstrate kindness and good school citizenship.
