Twenty-five students across Westerville’s three high schools — the most among Central Ohio school districts — marked their final year in the Global Scholars Diploma program with a showcase of their Take Action projects and graduation commemoration on Tuesday at Otterbein University.

Westerville North and Westerville South high schools are hosting the 2024 Strike Out Cancer fundraiser during softball and baseball games on April 27 to raise money to combat childhood cancer. 

The Westerville North High School theatre department is wrapping up their season with a fun take on a familiar tale: “The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood.”

All three Westerville City Schools high schools competed against central Ohio teams in the Ohio Capital Conference Battle of the Books competition, with WCHS placing second and WSHS placing fourth at the event.

Emerson Elementary has received the Purple Star designation for its commitment to serving military-connected students and their families, while Westerville North High School’s Purple Star designation has been renewed for another three years, officials with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce announced this week.
