I grew up in Westerville and attended Cherrington, Blendon, and Westerville South High School. I earned her B.A. in History from Wittenberg University and a M.A. in Education from the Ohio State University. As a middle school teacher of 24 years, I taught 7th and 8th grade Language Arts for three years and 7th and 8th grade Ancient and American History for 21 years. I added a gifted endorsement to my teaching liscence in 2015 and joined the gifted self contained program in the same year.
I have two girls, Rachel and Emily. Rachel is working on her M.A. in Public Administration at the Ohio State University and works as a program manager at the OSU office of Commuter and Off Campus Student life. Emily is a freshman at Ohio University and is majoring in Dance and Psychology.
My husband is Battallion Chief at Mifflin Township Fire Department. We have been married for 27 years and are learning how to be empty nesters!
