Wellness through Recreation

Wellness through Recreation is a group program that focuses on overall wellness and healthy lifestyle. The program consists of participants learning about different domains of wellness (physical, emotional, social, community, diversity, and leisure and recreation) by engaging in daily life skills and provided support for making peer connections while participating in interactive recreation and leisure activities. 

The duration of the program is 6 weeks long and takes place twice per week for 60-90 minutes after school. There will be a variety of activities that range from social games, fun physical activities, group challenges, safe supported discussions, community outings, swimming and more. The program is open to grades 6-12 and offers rolling enrollment on a weekly basis

Group for 6th Grade Students
Session Day/Time: Mondays & Wednesdays - 3:15pm-4:15 pm
Location: Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany
Cost: $125 a person
• Session Five: February 22nd- March 30th
• Session Six: April 4th- May 11th

Group for 7th-12th Grade Students
Session Day/Time: Tuesday & Thursday - 3:15pm-4:15 pm
Location: Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany
Cost: $125 a person
• Session Five: February 23rd- March 31st
• Session Six: April 5th- May 12th
