The Westerville South High School Theatre Department is proud to present The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, by John Bishop. The show will be performed on January 24, 25 and 26 at 7:30 p.m.; and on January 27 at 2:00 p.m. In case of inclement weather, alternate performance dates will be January 31-February 3. Tickets, which cost $10, can be purchased at the door on the day of the performance, or reserved by calling the box office at 614/797-6055.

About the play: The creative team responsible for a recent Broadway flop (in which three chorus girls were murdered by the mysterious “Stage Door Slasher”) assembles for a backer’s audition of their new show at the Westchester estate of a wealthy “angel.” As the composer, lyricist, actors and director prepare their performance, a blizzard cuts off any possible retreat, bodies start to drop in plain sight, knives spring out of nowhere, masked figures drag their victims behind swiveling bookcases, and accusing fingers point in all directions. Both comedy and mystery, the audience will surely be shocked and filled with laughter!
