College Credit Plus

2018-2019 CCP Information

The CCP Program allows eligible Ohio students in grades 7 through 12 to earn college and high school credit through the successful completion of college courses.  Students interested in CCP (which includes, but is not limited to, specialized programs such as the John Glenn Internship as well as CCP courses offered on a student’s high school campus) must turn in an intent form to their school counselor, demonstrate college-readiness, and be accepted by the college/university they wish to attend. Each college/university has their own GPA and standardized test minimums. 

A mandatory information session was held on Tuesday, January 30th at Westerville Central High School and the slide deck from the evening can be downloaded here.  If you are a returning CCP student or unable to attend the information night at Central, please review the appropriate video below for additional information about participating in CCP for the 18-19 school year:

 

  • Are you a returning CCP student? 
  • Miss the mandatory information night held on 1/30/18? 

Intent Forms for the 2018-2019 school year are due to a student's school counselor by 3 pm on April 6, 2018.

CCP Partner Institution Information

Spring Semester is almmost a wrap!  If you are planning to enroll in summer coursework, make sure your 18-19 intent form in is and you know the registration deadline.  Many summer terms start in May. 


Columbus State Community College Updates:

  • Plan to take a class at CSCC next year?  In addition to your Intent Form, you need to have a CSCC Consent Form on file with the college.  You can find the 18-19 Consent Form online here.  Turn the form in to your school counselor to complete and send in to CSCC.

  • Want to register for a summer semester course?  Complete this form by and take it to your high school counselor for their signature.  Summer registration forms are due by May 24th at 3 pm to CSCC

  • Find additional details about CCP on CSCC's website: https://www.cscc.edu/academics/college-credit-plus/college-credit-plus-students/current-ccp.shtml and be sure to check your CSCC email often once you are accepted!

  • Parking 

    • Find information about purchasing a parking pass ($35) and a temporary pass to use on CSCC's website here.

    • Please note the following when you go to purchase the permit online:

      • You will be asked to agree to pay a specific amount (generally, the account balance). However, if funded through College Credit Plus and meeting all requirements, when you select that option, you are only agreeing to pay $35 permit fee.

  • Textbooks for Spring Semester  (Summer Semester info coming soon)

    • Be sure to turn in your CCP textbooks to the Academic Enrichment Center at the end of the semester!

    • Check your CSCC email for your book voucher (they were sent on 1/9/18)!  For additional information about CSCC textbooks, please visit the CSCC Bookstore's site for CCP students at http://www.cscc.edu/services/bookstore/college-credit-plus-books.shtml.

      • Last day to purchase in store and online using a book voucher: February 12th

      • At the end of the semester, you will turn in your CSCC textbooks to the Academic Enrichment Center (across from Westerville South) at the end of the term.  You will be charged the cost of the textbooks if they are not returned.

      • Online Course Students will need to check their Student Email and Blackboard Accounts each day once the semester begins to receive important information regarding their courses Blackboard classes will not become available until January 12th.

  • Be aware of Important Dates such as:
    • Classes begin January 15th
    • Last day to withdraw from a full term class without a financial penalty is January 25th 
    • CSCC Spring Break is March 12th  – 17th
      • Students are expected to attend college courses during WCS's spring break
    • Last day to withdraw from a full term class is March 26th
    • Semester Ends on May 12th

  • Textbooks for Spring Semester
