Below is information for the 2017 Summer School Opportunities.  2018 information will be similar, but dates and locations will change.

Summer School 2017 for High School Courses
June 5 through June 23, First term (15 days)
June 26 through July 18, Second term (15 days) NO SCHOOL July 3 & 4
June 5 through July 18, full year (30 days) with NO SCHOOL July 3 & 4

Summer Intervention Grades K-8 Registration CLOSED.

Thank you for considering Westerville City Schools' Summer School program for your child's educational needs. Westerville Summer School is offered to Westerville students, as well as students from other districts.

The Westerville Summer School program continues to offer full Carnegie unit learning opportunities that our customers tell us they want and need - at a competitive price. We are a financially self-supporting operation within the Westerville City Schools' budget.

Grades K-8 Summer Intervention

Students that are recommended by their Teacher/Principal/Counselor will receive an invitation letter in the mail the week of April 3, 2017.  Recommended students can register once invitation letter has been received.


All Summer School Locations (unless otherwise indicated)

  • Pre-K (Almost Kindergarten Readiness Camp) @ Annehurst Elem (Registration Required)
  • K-3 @ Fouse Elementary (WCS Students by Recommendation Only by School)
  • 4-8 @ Genoa Middle School (WCS Students by Recommendation Only by School)
  • 9-12 @ Westerville Central High School (Open to all students - Registration Required)
  • 9-12 @ Whittier Elementary School Physical Education 1 & 2 Courses (Open to all students - Registration Required)
  • OGT Intervention & Testing @ Westerville Central High School (Open to all students - Registration Required)

Secondary SPLASH Computer Science Workshop! (Students currently entering grades 6-12)

Location: Westerville North High School (Click for Map)
Dates: June 5 - 8 (4 days)
Time(s): 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 pm
Cost:  WCS Students - $100; Out of District Students - $150
Providing students entering grades 6-12 with an opportunity to learn more about the most powerful device of our lifetime! Computer science workshop...coding, programming, nuts and bolts!
