Four Westerville City Schools bus drivers earned the right to compete on May 6 at the State Road-E-O, which was held at Westland High School in Galloway. When final scores were tallied, Kurt Blaser placed sixth in the state.
Forty-eight individuals from eight regions entered the contest, which involves completing a number of driving obstacles and taking a written test. Blaser’s final score was 679, not far from that of the first place winner, who earned 709. The top two winners will move on to the International Road-E-O in Indianapolis on July 16.
