Children enjoyed Maker-Space hands-on activity stations at Fourth Friday. Fouse fifth graders learned about nature through Metro Parks’ SEED Program. Westerville Central hosted its annual September 11 Remembrance Ceremony. Knights of Columbus representatives presented Superintendent John Kellogg with a check for the Special Education department. Annehurst teacher Dee Stewart was honored by the Board as D.A.R.E. Ohio 2016 Educator of the Year. Tyler’s Light founder Wayne Campbell spoke with South pupils about opiate addiction. Emerson students met a global pen pal from Hangzhou, China. Annehurst Principal Earl Rahm “Walks the Plank” for students who met his summer reading challenge. Central freshmen participate in a “Breakout Box” media center orientation activity. Motivational speaker Moses Garcia addressed Heritage students on PRIDE Day.
