The Business Advisory Council (BAC) is a group of 34 business men and women from around the community; School Board members; and Westerville City Schools personnel. The group is chaired by OhioHealth’s Bob Gilbert,
BAC was formed to ensure the future well-being of citizens. The group recognizes that education efforts involve close cooperation among interested parties and that decisions should be made with those impacted by results. BAC serves as a Continuing Advisory Group to the board and administrative team. Members represent leaders of commercial, industrial and civic organizations. They recommend policies and guidelines to help the Westerville City School District achieve its vision – to be the benchmark of educational excellence.
Volunteers will serve on three committees:
- Department of Administrative Services – charged with assisting in the development of a results-oriented Performance Management Plan for certificated and classified administrators;
- Department of Community Relations – to consider school personnel emergency relocation; and
- Department of Academic Affairs – for proposing community based Service Learning parameters.
