Good Morning Huskies! Today is Friday, April 20.  We are on a “B” schedule today!


The word of the month The word of the month is Trustworthy.  Are you a person who says what you mean and mean what you say?  Do you keep your promises? Are you reliable? If you answered yes, you are a trustworthy person and on your way to being a successful person.  Take the challenge this month and pay attention to being a trustworthy person!


Husky Headlines:

Make sure to say good luck to 7th Grader Trey Rutherford because tomorrow he will be competing in the state of Ohio National History Day competition.  His project about the Indian Removal Act earned superior ratings at the regional competition and he is hoping to move on to the National Competition in Washington DC!  Way to go Trey!


Sports Report

Westerville Central Girls Basketball Parent/Player Meeting is Monday night at 6pm in the media center at Central. Important summer info will be given out that night. If you are interested in playing next year please plan on attending! Coach Morgan


For any 8th grade girl planning to run Cross Country at North. We will be having an informational meeting in the North media center in May 9th at 6pm.  Meet the coaches and returning team.


6th and 7th grade boys. Information for the 33rd annual Warrior Basketball Camp are located outside of room 236, room 145, and in front of the trophy case at the entrance to the school. This year’s camp will run from Tuesday May 29th to Friday June 1st


On Wednesday night both track teams ran against the Gahanna West in a close track meet and both came home with the win.  Scoring first for the girls were Saunders in the 100 hurdles and 200 hurdles, Swanson in the 100, Johns in the 400, Weise in the 800, and the 4 by 400 team of Connie Wu, Humbert, Weise, and Johns.  Placing second were Holloway in the 100 hurdles, Stacy in the mile. Weise in the 400, Smith in the 800, Johns in the 200, Holloway in the long jump, Roudabush and Humbert in high jump, Korentang in the shot.  Scoring in third place was Roudabush in 100 hurdles, Kotik in the mile, Connie Wu in the 400, Alfred in the 200 hurdles, Elliot in the 200, and Lindsay in the shot and disc. Great job, ladies!


Scoring for the boys in first place were Yeboah in 110 hurdles and 200 hurdles, Saunders in the 100 and 200, the 4 by 100 team of McCreery, Saunders, Yeboah, and Donkor, the 4 by 200 team of Scarentine, Glass, Armstrong and Koroma, Scarantine in the long jump and high jump, and Penny in shot.  Scoring second place were Gubernath in the 400, Koroma in the 200 hurdles, McCreary in the 200, Donkor in long jump, Penny in disc, scoring in third place were Koroma in the 100 hurdles, McCreary in the 100, McCracken in the mile, Scholl in the 800, Glass in the 200, and Hendon in long jump.


Shout out to the girls track team for winning the Gahanna Relays last night. Great work to all who participated and help bring home that 1st place trophy
