Spring 2021 Sports Registration OPEN!
Registration for spring sports at Genoa is now open! Boys Track, Girls Track, and Girls' Softball are available to all 7th and 8th graders at Genoa. If you are interested in participating in a spring sport, you must register on FinalForms and complete all required signatures and paperwork and have a valid physical before you can participate (use the link above). Spring sports will begin in February. Coaches will be contacting those athletes registered in FinalForms with additional details about the start of the season.
2021 Girls' Softball Information
Tryouts for the 2021 Girls' Softball team will take place on March 1st and 3rd from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Open gyms will be held on February 22nd and 24th from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. All interested athletes must register on FinalForms and complete all required signatures and paperwork and have a valid physical before you may participate. 2021 Track & Field Information
Official practice for the 2021 Track & Field team will begin on February 22nd from 3:25 pm to 5:00 pm. Conditioning sessions will be held on February 9th, 11th, 16th, 17th, and 18th from 3:25 pm to 5:00 pm. All interested athletes must register on FinalForms and complete all required signatures and paperwork and have a valid physical before you may participate. Winter Running Club Information
DUE TO WCS REMAINING IN FULLY REMOTE INSTRUCTION THROUGH AT LEAST JANUARY 14TH, REGRETTABLY, IT WILL NOT BE FEASIBLE FOR US TO HOLD WINTER RUNNING CLUB THIS SCHOOL YEAR. WE LOOK FORWARD TO WINTER RUNNING CLUB RETURNING IN THE 2021-22 SCHOOL YEAR.
Required OHSAA Pre-Season Parent Meeting
It is a requirement by the Ohio High School Athletic Association that a parent of each athlete participating in a school-sponsored sport attend a rules meeting conducted by the athlete's school. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are offering that meeting in a virtual format. Cross Country/Track & Field Uniform Information
Beginning in the Fall of 2020, Genoa Middle School athletes participating in cross country and track & field will purchase their own uniform singlet/shorts. The same uniform will be used for cross country and track & field (Note: this is a different uniform than what was used for track & field in the past).

Genoa Middle School Athletic Department Tryout/Participation Requirements
In accordance with OHSAA, all athletes competing in or trying out for a sport MUST have a current, updated physical and have registered and completed all required forms in Final Forms. No exceptions can be made to this rule, if anything is missing or incomplete, athletes may NOT participate until it's complete.
Remember to participate in tryouts/practice you must....
1. Have an updated Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation (this link provides the physical, concussion and Lindsey's law copies) on file with the school, which is good for 13 months. Please turn in your completed form (with doctor's signature) to your coach.
2. Register and complete all forms in FinalForms (see additional information above)
3. Before the first game/competition, the Westerville City Schools Pay-to-Participate fee must be paid.
