Huber Ridge Families,
As you are aware out of an abundance of caution, Westerville City Schools has decided to remain in 100% remote instruction through at least December 4. For students and families who have elected to participate in the WVA this change will have no impact on you. Students who are in Cohort A, B, and C should have already received some communication from their teacher/s about what to expect 11/30/20-12/4/20. If you are having trouble connecting with your teacher feel free to contact me via email HilkertT@wcsoh.org.
As we move into remote instruction the following tools will be of great resource to your child…
Students in grades K-3 Fundations Take Home Letter Boards
Click Here for a Parent Video Explain the board
Contact your child’s teacher or RobertsK@wcsoh.org for questions about the boards
Should your child need a device please contact me at HilkertT@wcsoh.org
There are a limited number of devices available
There are also a limited number of wifi hotspots available should you have a need
Students in grades 1-5 should be completing 60 minutes of iReady Online Instruction, per subject, per week.
Many teachers have already assigned this work
Is your child passing more than 80% of their lessons on iReady? If not contact their teacher for support.

Over the past 8 months our students have certainly risen to the challenges presented to them! Each day I have been impressed with their resiliency, our teachers/staff continued efforts to provide a high quality and rigorous education, and the willingness of our families to support our efforts as a school. This year, more than ever, I am thankful to be a part of an awesome Huber Ridge Community.
Take care Rockets!
